Eden Grove
Overview
Eden Grove is a newly built mixed-use scheme, which sits proudly on one of the main routes into Staines. Delivered by housing developer Berkeley Homes and designed by architects Scott Brownrigg, the collection of studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments offer luxury living and a retreat from city life, with the buildings centred around beautifully landscaped gardens.
SBS Cladding supplied bronze effect Genius metal cladding to the development, which was installed by AJE Facades.
Concept to completion
Built on a previously vacant site which had been unused for over 10 years, the architect’s vision was to create a meaningful space for people to meet and build a community. A major part of achieving this was arranging the buildings around a central shared garden space, which has been oriented to capture as much sunlight as possible.
The primary material used on the facades was bronze Genius metal cladding, with the panels cut into a geometric pattern to reference Staines’ history of linoleum manufacturing. The cladding panels were selected from the Genius ‘Prime’ range where fully concealed fixings are utilised, contributing to a sleek and modern finish.
Eden Grove now offers 489 homes to the area, along with new jobs, improved infrastructure and green spaces. Residents also have access to a co-working space, cinema and private gym on site. The commercial offering boasts 10,000sq ft of ground floor retail space, whilst at first floor level there is 10,000sq ft of office space.
