During the first phase, a new reception, main hall, kitchen, art studio and administration building were constructed. In phase two, refurbishments were made to existing buildings, whilst the original main hall and kitchen were demolished and replaced with a multi-use games area. This project, designed by [ATP Architects](https://www.atpgroup.co.uk/) and managed by [Kier Construction](https://www.kier.co.uk/), involved both refurbishment and new build construction, with a focus on modern and energy efficient infrastructure. SBS Cladding supplied the [Plastestrip FastFrame cladding framing system](https://www.sbscladding.com/framing-systems-fixings/plastestrip) to the development, which was used to support [Anvil metal cladding](https://www.sbscladding.com/metal-cladding/anvil) and Corium brick cladding (manufactured by [Wienerberger](https://www.wienerberger.co.uk/)), supplied in partnership with [Taylor Maxwell ](https://www.taylormaxwell.co.uk/)and installed by [Stoneguard](https://www.stoneguard.co.uk/). **Concept to completion** Due to pupils remaining on site throughout the construction timeline, it was important that the materials used could be installed quickly to reduce the length of the construction process. Anvil metal cladding, supplied in the Interlocking Multi Plane (IMP) system, was able to offer quick installation and a sleek finish, with secret fix joints and no visible fixings. The architects selected the metal cladding in three grey RAL colours, with the panels installed in a staggered pattern across the facade of the reception building to create an easily identifiable entranceway. The metal cladding works harmoniously on the facade alongside the three colours of Corium brick cladding tile which are installed in a stretcher bond, a similar pattern to the metal cladding above. Both cladding systems were fixed back to Plastestrip FastFrame framing, which was able to support the secret fixing of the Anvil system and the cladding rails behind the Corium system. Phase two of this project was completed in November 2024, four weeks ahead of schedule. This was a testament to the efforts of the site team and supply chain to ensure that the construction process was as smooth and efficient as possible.
